Day 5 - Wardrobe Clensing

A cold rainy day calls for time at home to do a little spring cleaning. This then leads to the wardrobe. When I was pregnant I packed about dresses, jeans and clothing that obviously wasn't going to fit for a few months. When I opened the boxes today I was surprised to see how many clothes I really didn't need and others that I can now fit into and will certainly wear. By packing away these items it was like opening up a whole new wardrobe that I forgot about. From this I was able to fill a garbage bag full of clothes for charity. I am happy to at least to give away many items, and all of them in great condition and I swear only wore them a couple of times, if at all. I am one of these people that because it is on sale I will buy it and think 'I know I will need that one day' and that day never arrives. My tip to people that have an overflowing wardrobe is to pack some of it away. When you reopen it after 3-6 months. If you love it you will keep it and if you think 'I never missed it' then it has to go.

Today I found a piece of clothing to wear that I bought post pregnancy but have only worn it once. It was one of those items that seem get suck in to the cupboard and overcrowded by other items. It is easy to wear and comfortable for lounging around the house in between the actual housework that needs to be done. Military inspired jersey teamed with a pair of (the best in the world) leggings. These are from Witchery and are designed to suck you in and provide the necessary shape, designed to sit on the waist there is no muffin top in sight. At $39.95 that are perfect - I have even bought two (and now your thinking problem, what problem??). I love this type of clothing, it is easy to wear and works in summer and winter. You will find this trend throughout the challenge as I have many items that are worn this way, I think I started during this because it was easy while being pregnany and it also meant I didn't have to purchase ugly pregnancy clothing. But remember I can only wear this outfit once.
