Am I CRAZY??

I have been thinking about this for sometime but very scared of committing to the actual challenge... or maybe that was the idea of not being able to shop for the next 60 days. Seriously, in the words of the very fashionable Rachel Zoe 'I DIE'.

Like most women, I never have anything to wear. Any yes it's true you only ever wear 20% of your wardrobe, the other 80% is just dying to get out and see the daylight. I also keep forgetting that I own so many pieces because they are stuffed in the back of the cupboard or squeezed into hanging space where I can't fit another item.

OK so here is the deal, for the next 60 days I am going to dedicate my life to completing this challenge, to save some money (well of course I will), to not drive my husband mad and to love my wardrobe all over again. So what is the '60 Day Wardrobe Challenge' and what are the rules.

The challenge - over the course of 60 days I will wear as many items of clothing in my wardrobe and something different everyday. So here are the rules (I have to give myself rules otherwise I have failed before I have even begun).

  • Wear a different outfit every day for 60 days
  • I can wear the same item twice or even three times however I can't wear it in the same combination.
  • I am not allowed to go shopping therefore I must use my creativity for coming up with new combinations
  • Over the course of 60 days I must also wear at least 20 different pairs of shoes (I also can't go shoe shopping... this one is going to be very difficult)
  • I can still purchase magazines for inspiration.... trust me I am no stylist so I need all the help I can get

During the next 60 days I have to find outfits for work, functions, nights out, day wear and weekends without resorting to tracksuits and joggers. I think I have really set myself a goal or two.

On another note - my sincere apologies to the retail economy.... I am sure you won't miss me over the next 60 days.

Anyway wish me luck as tomorrow is Day 1.
